Devils Tower is a butte, possibly laccolithic, composed of igneous rock in the Bear Lodge Ranger District of the Black Hills, near Hulett and Sundance in Crook County, northeastern Wyoming, above the Belle Fourche River. It rises 1,267 feet above the Belle Fourche River, standing 867 feet from summit to base.

DEVIL'S TOWER
This narrated tour starts at your hotel in Rapid City around 8:30 AM. We drive on I-90 past the towns of Sturgis and Spearfish and into Wyoming. We exit the interstate just over the border at Beulah, WY and stop at the Vore Buffalo Jump which is open June 1st through Labor Day. Then we drive up Hwy 101 to the 100+ year old Aladdin General Store to see all the unique items inside.
We continue on through Hulett, WY to Devil’s Tower National Park. This monument was featured in the movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” starring Richard Dreyfuss. There is a small visitor center, restrooms, and a 45 minute walk around the base of the tower.
We stop for you to buy your lunch wherever you are hungry. There is a gift shop and snack shop just outside the park entrance as well as restaurants elsewhere.
Afterward we drive back to Rapid City for a total trip of approximately 8 hours.

The price per person is $285 plus 5.7% state sales tax. Guide gratuities are at your discretion. We pay the admissions for the Devils Tower National Park and the Vore Buffalo Jump.
We provide cold bottled water and you may bring any snacks that you like. Lunch is at your own expense.
For an additional $50 per person we can include a side trip into Deadwood on the way back to Rapid City, which adds another 2½ hours to the length of the tour.
