This 7-8 hour narrated tour takes us down through the Custer State Park Wildlife Loop to see the buffalo herds. In the spring there are around 1300 buffalo including newborn calves in the park. There are also antelope, deer, prairie dogs, begging burros and breath-taking scenery.

Your tour begins at an iconic South Dakota landmark

We make a comfort stop by the State Game Lodge area at Coolidge Inn Store or the Peter Norbeck Visitor Center. We also drive through the famous Needle’s Eye Highway and Cathedral Spires granite formations, and over the Iron Mountain Road with pigtail bridges and tunnels that frame Mt. Rushmore. We will stop so you can buy your lunch at one of the Custer State Park Resort dining rooms, then we drive back to Rapid City.
